The Town of North Providence seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Finance Director for the Town. The Finance Director serves as the head of the Town’s department of finance which includes the treasury division. Reporting to the Finance Director are: the Controller and fiscal staff; the tax collector; the tax assessor; and the purchasing agent. The Finance Director has overall responsibility and oversight with respect to the Town’s financial and accounting operations.

Education / Qualifications
Candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or finance and a minimum of five years of management experience in government or a compatible field. Also, candidate should have knowledge and experience in municipal accounting, budgeting, and finance. Possession of a CPA certificate or a Master’s Degree is desirable.
