American Red Cross – Lifeguard Training

North Providence Pool & Fitness Center

Instructor: Amanda Knuth
Class Date/Time: April 18th – April 21st, 2017 from 9am – 4pm

Cost: $300.00 for members, $350.00 for non-members        

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 15 Years old
  • Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl stroke and breaststroke.
  • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 10-12 feet, retrieve 10 – pound object, return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using ladders or steps, within 1 minute, 40 seconds.

Student Requirements:

  • Attend all class sessions
  • Successfully complete three sections on exam with an 80% on each
  • Successfully complete final skills scenario
  • Perform all critical skills necessary

 

Certificate: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR/AED for Lifeguards

                    Expires 2 years from date of completion

Class Date/Time:  April 17th, 2017 from 9am – 5pm

Cost: $175.00 for members, $200.00 for non-members.   

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 300 yards continuously using crawl stroke and breaststroke.
  • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 10-12 feet, retrieve 10 – pound object, return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using ladders or steps, within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
  • Must have current (or just expired) certifications in Lifeguard Training.

Student Requirements:  A current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.
