Clinic information:

Tuesday December 28, 2021, North Providence will have a Pfizer and Moderna vaccine clinics open between 4:00 pm – 8 pm: at the North Providence    High School, Cafeteria

 

Clinics are for ages 12 and up to receive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd dose (booster vaccine)

Who can get booster doses?

The CDC recommends: 

  • People age 65 and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their second dose of Moderna; 
  • People age 50-64 with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their second dose of Moderna
  • People age 18-49 with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their second dose of Moderna; 
  • People age 18-64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional settings may receive a booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their second dose of Moderna, based on their individual benefits and risks. 

Examples of underlying medical conditions include cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic lung disease, dementia or other neurological conditions, diabetes, heart disease, HIV, pregnancy, Sickle cell disease, substance use disorders.
