Donate and Dedicate an Ornament for the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 3rd


The Town of North Providence is inviting families to donate an ornament in honor of a lost loved one. These ornaments will be used to adorn the town’s Christmas tree and displayed during the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Date:   Sunday, December 3, 2023
Time:  4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Place:  Meehan Overlook at Notte Park
            2 Governor Notte Parkway
            North Providence, RI 02904 

Please drop off your ornament to the Recreation Department located at 2 Governor Notte Parkway, North Providence, RI 02904 by Monday November 27. Please include the name of the loved one being remembered.  A sign will be on display with the names of those who are remembered in this special way.”

Residents of North Providence, if the Police or Fire Department should know important medical information about you or your family member, please register with the State via the Rhode Island Special Needs Emergency Registry. This is a secured site and the information is only provided to the Department of Health and your local Police and Fire Dept personnel.

CCRI Drivers Ed offered at North Providence Public Safety Complex


CCRI Driver Education is now offered at the North Providence Safety Complex, across the street from North Providence High School.
Students may register online at CCRI.EDU
or the link below.
Driver’s Ed class # 5554, Mon, Wed, Thurs, beginning on October 16th – November 8th , from 2:10 p.m. – 5:10 p.m.
Driver’s Ed class # 5555, Mon, Wed, Thurs, beginning on November 27th – December 20th , from 2:10 p.m. – 5:10 p.m.
The course fee is $120.00, and students are required to purchase a 15th edition Triple A, How to Drive textbook.
Per § 31-10-19 Driver education – Traffic safety education, students must be at least 15 years, 10 months, by the first day of class.
**Its important students DO NOT use their school email address when creating their CCRI profile due to school email notification restrictions.
