The North Providence Board of Canvassers will meet at North Providence Town Hall, 2000 Smith Street North Providence, RI
in The Assembly Room, G -19 on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 2:30pm.

Vote to accept the minutes of the September 11^th 2026, meeting
Final Canvass – Correction of Voting List for the Statewide Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3,2026
Review equipment allocation to polling locations.
Review and discuss poll worker appointments; or take any other action thereon.
Review email from Johanna Petrarca, Deputy Director of Elections, regarding Parking situation at a
polling place that took place during the September 9, 2026 Primary at Dr. Edward Ricci School
Election Update and Discussion.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE NORTH PROVIDENCE MIDTERM IN PERSON PRIMARY ELECTION
WHICH WILL BE ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 3 ,2026

The deadline to register to vote for the November 3, 2026 is SUNDAY OCTOBER 4 ,2026

There will be voter registration forms and a drop box available at the
North Providence Public Safety Complex
1835 Mineral Spring Ave.
North Providence RI 02904
for North Providence residents FROM 8:30 P.M TO 4:00 P.M.

The mail ballot application deadline is Tuesday October 13, at 4:00 p.m.. If you wish to vote by mail ballot you must complete an application and submit it to the Board of Canvassers by the deadline.,

Mail Ballot Drop Box

The Drop Box for the Town of North Providence will be open starting on Tuesday September 29, 2026 to receive completed mail ballots in their oath and/or mailing envelopes and to receive mail ballot application and voter registrations prior to their deadlines for receipt.

The North Providence mail ballot drop box is located in the parking lot in the rear of Town Hall located directly in front of the handicap parking spot.

Reminder- Any completed Rhode Island mail ballot may be placed in any official state Board of Elations mail ballot drop box, Statewide, no later than 8pm on election night, Tuesday November 3, 2026 Mail ballots may also be returned during normal business hours in the Board of Canvassers Office Room G-13 at North Providence Town Hall.

Early Voting

The early voting period begins on Wednesday October 14, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

Early voting will take place at North Providence Town Hall, 2000 Smith Street, North Providence RI, 02904 on the Ground level in the Assembly RM (G-19) Handicap parking is located in the rear of town hall. Voting will take place during normal business hours. There will be no Early Voting OCTOBER 12,2026 (Town Hall will be Closed for Columbus Day).

Online Voter Registration

To download voter registration forms and mail ballot applications, or view information on your voting district, visit the RI Office of the Secretary of State, Elections and Civics Division, RI Voter Information Center website.

Voter Registrations are received daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the Board of Canvassers Office or use Online Voter Registration.

Online forms for Voter Registration are available from the RI Board of Elections website.

Poll Worker?

The North Providence Board of Canvassers is looking for individuals interested in serving as moderators, clerks, supervisors or greeters for this year’s Primary and General election. You must be at least 16 years old and registered or pre-registered to vote.

Work hours are 6:00 am to approximately 9:00 pm. A training class prior to Election Day is mandatory.
Moderators and clerks now receive $250;
Supervisors and Greeters now receive $225.

Apply ASAP FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS

Interested persons should contact The North Providence Board of Canvassers Dept, by calling 232-0900, extension 1230, 1235, and 1241; or emailing or visiting the Board of Canvassers at Town Hall, Lower Level, Room G13, 2000 Smith Street.
